Intern Letter: Scott Bihag

Hello, I am Scott Bihag and I am currently a part of the Operations team of the organization. I love to help other people and contribute to purposes beyond myself, hence why I joined Pure Mentorship.

I’ve not only allowed myself to enjoy the feeling of helping other people, I have also grown as an individual. I’ve learned that patience can truly be the most helpful characteristic to have as a leader. Being a part of the Operations team has allowed me to learn that the Operations team allows access to a more hands-on experience when it comes to the inner workings of the organization. I have become more in tune with myself and what I wanna do in the future through this internship. I have also improved my ability to speak with others and my ability to problem-solve in a complex manner. I learned that I can rely on others when I find something difficult and that it’s okay to ask for help.

Having the new skills I’ve learned, I will now be able to utilize them in my other activities and clubs to allow myself to attain more opportunities of growth. The skills I’ve learned will allow me to become a much better communicator and leader amongst my peers.

As a leader I’ve grown in a way that my concepts of leadership have changed. I used to perceive leadership as a hindrance and difficult. I’ve now realized that being a leader will not only allow you to grow individually but will also provide you the opportunity to help others grow as well.
