Meet the Founder: Thenu Senthil
"Hello! My name is Thenu and I am a nationally-recognized leader and the founder of Pure Mentorship! I strongly believe in the potential of each individual and know that support from a mentor at a young age can propel them toward a lifetime of success. I created Pure Mentorship and the mission is simple. We bring together successful and well-rounded mentors and mentees who are seeking help in various areas of their lives whether they are in high school, early college, or early career. We are based out of San Jose, CA and our mentors come from all over the United States.
Our mentors are working in various fields including marketing, aerospace, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and computer science. They come from schools just like yours and are pursuing higher education at local universities as well as ivy league colleges. Now they are working at companies such as Lockheed Martin Space, Amazon, Palo Alto Networks, NVIDIA–or their own startup! They are passionate about supporting youth individuals through their goals no matter how big or how small."

Our team is 21 members strong, consisting of students across different backgrounds with a shared passion for technology, leadership, and most importantly, mentorship. We all had various mentors growing up, and we are excited to pay this act of kindness forward to students around the country.

What are your interests? I like hiking, nature, traveling, reading, and discovering new music. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I am driven by my interest to explore the intersection of technology and business strategy to understand how to pursue a cause that I feel passionate about.
What are your interests? My hobbies include painting, cooking, and exploring (i.e., Museums, Gardens, Hikes). What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? During the internship, I intend to strengthen my communication, project management, analytical skills, while also gaining insight into my future professional path.
What are your interests? I like listening to music while walking around in an art museum. I also like long walks on the beach. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I hope to be able to form new connections with the people I work with, whilst also learning new things from the people I work with and thus improve upon myself.
Branding & Marketing
What are your interests? I recently just got into sewing, and I’ve really enjoyed learning how to sew. Alongside that, I love to read and write. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? During this internship, I hope to further learn and hone my skills in writing and editing to an audience! I am looking forward to working with the Pure Mentorship team to help further the connection that Pure Mentorship brings to students.

Digital Marketing Intern
What are your interests? Some of my interests are: graphic design, software development, data analytics, making Spotify playlists, and crochet. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? As a Digital Marketing intern, my goals are to grow my graphic design skills and create digital marketing assets that will expand the reach and impact of the Pure Mentorship brand. Additionally, I’m eager to delve into UI/UX design using Figma and gain proficiency in conducting market research, including SEO and Google Analytics. Through my efforts, I hope to make a significant contribution to Pure Mentorship and inspire students to participate in this great mentorship program!

What are your interests? I’m interested in pursuing computer science in college, but I also enjoy learning biology! In my free time I love to read and hang out with my friends. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I’m super excited to meet and network with new people. I hope to positively contribute to the team and make a real difference!
Information Technology
What are your interests? Some of my interests are: video games, writing, and drawing. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I hope to help create a website from scratch that is accommodating for both the prospective mentees and mentors.
What are your interests? I would like to learn more about software and computer engineering. In my free time, I like to read, write, and listen to music. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I hope to gain experience with the web development process. I would like to gain connections with the Pure Mentorship team and learn how to work on a team to accomplish IT tasks. I would also like to expand my knowledge on languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
What are your interests? I love learning about physics, math, and how they can be applied. In the future, I plan on majoring in computer science. Aside from that, I love watching sports–specifically basketball (and spikeball as of late), watching movies, listening to music, and going to the gym. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I hope to contribute to Pure Mentorship in a meaningful way by making mentorship more accessible to a broader audience. I also look forward to learning new skills and creating a strong network with the people around me.
What are your interests? Some of my interests are: dancing, learning and trying new things, watching TV, and hanging out with friends. I also like computers and biology. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I hope to expand my expertise as an IT intern, and I hope to make new connections.
Student Leaders
What are your interests? I am mainly interested in computer science, as well as the emerging technologies such as AI. I strongly believe that technology can change our lives for the better if we know how to use it to our advantage and integrate it into our daily lives; I hope to make this a reality. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I hope to gain valuable leadership experience working with my peers in Pure Mentorship, and both apply and enhance my CS skills to help further Pure Mentorship’s goals of inspiring young minds. My position here at Pure Mentorship is an excellent way to benefit my community and improve the world using my skills.

What are your interests? I am interested in programming with Javascript, HTML, Python, and Java. What do you hope to accomplish during your internship with Pure Mentorship? I want to help with task management for either programming or for the overall website. I hope to also help with program creation.
